About Camp Craftie
Welcome to Camp Craftie — I'm so glad you found me! I'm a Denver-based after-school program where kids ages 5–8 explore their creativity, build friendships, and grow their confidence through hands-on art and social-emotional learning.
Every session is designed to meet your child exactly where they are. Whether they're the kid who dives headfirst into the glitter bin or the one who needs a minute to watch before jumping in — I've got them. No experience necessary, no pressure to be "good" at art. Just a welcoming space where every child gets to create, connect, and be themselves.
I handle all the supplies, the snacks, and the cleanup, while your kiddo gets to explore new materials, express feelings creatively in a safe space, and make something they're proud of. Old friends, new friends, and a whole lot of creativity — that's Camp Craftie.
Meet the Maker Behind Camp Craftie
Hey there! I'm Nicole Jarvis — the founder, craft lover, snack buyer, and heart behind Camp Craftie. I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and I've spent my career in roles where my goal has been instilling confidence through empowerment.
I'm also a local mom and I find such joy in seeing a kid's face light up when they realize they just made something amazing with their own two hands. Before launching Camp Craftie, I spent over a decade in nonprofit program management working in health equity and community-centered programming. That work taught me something powerful: when people feel safe, seen, and connected, incredible things happen. I bring that same equity-centered, trauma-informed approach to everything I do with kids. Every single child who walks into a Camp Craftie session — regardless of their experience, ability, or background — deserves to feel like they belong. I hope to provide the space where that is true.
